Synopsis
Official Selection: Toronto International Film FestivalWinner of the Queer Lion Award at the Venice Film Festival, Heartstone depicts the emotional turbulence of two teenage boys in a sensitive and exquisite way. In a remote Icelandic fishing village, Thor and Christian are very good friends. In one turbulent summer, their inner desires start to be awakened as one tries to win over the heart of a girl, and the other starts to fall for his best friend. When summer ends and the harsh nature of Iceland climate takes its course, the two boys must face the fact that it’s time for them to embark on the journey of adulthood and deal with each of their inner conflicts and passion.
