Mostly a prequel to the series, Fire Walk With Me covers the investigation into the murder of Teresa Banks and events that unfolded over seven days before the murder of Laura Palmer, the series’ core mystery. Going beyond the boundaries of network television, Fire Walk With Me takes the Twin Peaks story deep into horror territory, exposing the physical and psychological torment Laura went through before her tragic death. Fire Walk With Me may not bring closure to the show’s unanswered questions, but it’s a surreal Lynchian nightmare that brings the saga to full circle.
