Keep The Lights On(BC Sunday)

Based on the director Ira Sachs’ own relationship with literary agent Bill Clegg. The film chronicles an emotionally and sexually charged journey of two men in the late Nineties, the New York city. Erik, a documentary filmmaker partly funded by his family, meets Paul, a closeted lawyer, through a phone sex chat line. In the couple’s decade-long relationship. they break up, reattach, trying to support each other and recue their dying relationship. However, neither Erik nor Paul ever really changes. Maybe it’s time for Erik to negotiate his own boundaries and dignity while being true to himself……
