45 Years(EUFF 2016)

Director Andrew Haigh has always had keen eyes for modern relationships as shown from his previous films Weekend and the TV series Looking. This time, his lens focus on a pair of long-married couple. Ready to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary, Kate and her husband plan to host a party for this historical moment of their marriage. But when his husband receives a letter notifying him that the dead body of his first love is found frozen around the Swiss Alps, he is shaken. It was a past Kate has never been aware of, suddenly she is no longer sure she really understands her husband as much as she once believed. With the party happening in a few days, will the couple survive the crisis of trust?
