Synopsis
Cherbourg, November 1957. Madame Emery and her daughter Geneviève run a shop called The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. Love blooms between Geneviève and Guy, two young souls swept up in a tender romance. But fate intervenes—Guy is drafted to serve in Algeria, and Geneviève, left behind and pregnant, receives only silence from the front.
