Synopsis
“Grandma, why is the world so different from what we imagine?” — Ting TingAfter three years of the pandemic, meeting in person is no longer a given. Even in the same city, we can only see each other through windows. The distance between people is constrained by the unpredictable, and the line between reality and illusion gradually blurs. Are we truly together, or are we merely fantasizing about being together? Like Ting Ting in the film “Yi Yi: A One and a Two” who visits her grandmother's room every night, the insomniac Ting Ting never receives a definitive answer and never waits for her grandmother to awaken; During the day, she seeks a sense of existence among Fatty, Li Li, NJ, and Min Min, yet she falls asleep in class. When she drifts into another space, who does she dream of being with while awake?
