Synopsis

In a desperate attempt to help his 80-year-old father Lars regain his zest for life, Swedish TV presenter Filip Hammar takes him on a surprise road trip to France, retracing the same car journey their family made every summer during childhood. Travelling with his fellow filmmaker Fredrik Wikingsson, Filip is confident the road trip to the Mediterranean will help to invigorate his depressed dad by reliving some of the best moments of his life. This emotional and hilarious story broke audience records for Swedish documentary and was selected as the submission for Best International Feature at the Academy Awards.
