The Trouble with Mr Doodle (MOViE MOViE: Life is Art 2025)

Sam Cox was born to draw. As soon as he could hold a pen, no one could stop him from his endless scribbling. As he grew older, his obsession evolved, and his life became an unstoppable stream of seemingly automatic and undirected doodling. As the work flowed uncontrollably from his fingertips and out into the world, the alter ego that had always been present within him began to take over. Sam was becoming a character - Mr Doodle. And Mr Doodle was pushing Sam ever further into the background, into a powerless observer of his own relentless need not just to doodle, but to create a whole doodle world that he could live in for real.

The Trouble with Mr Doodle is the story of an extraordinary boy born into an ordinary family in an unremarkable English town, and how a childhood passion threatened to take over his life, his home and his mind.
