Synopsis

When our lives are essentially counting down to death,why do we make an effort to love? Writer-director Anselm Chan asks serious existential questions about mortality in this somber but surprising life-affirming drama, which marks the first on-screen collaboration between comedy icons Dayo Wong and Michael Hui since 1992. Wong stars as an out-of-work wedding planner who becomes a funeral agent to make ends meet. Not only does he have to navigate the superstitions and complexities of the business of death, he must also earn the approval of his sternly traditional business partner, Taoist priest Master Man.
