Kawashima Yoshiko (Anita Mui Film Festival @ MOKO)

A fictionalized account of the life and death of Kawashima Yoshiko, the last princess of Manchuria and a spy for the Japanese during the Second Sino-Japanese War.

Kawashima Yoshiko was originally a 14th princess of the Qing Dynasty. In order to restore the Qing Dynasty, she was given to the Japanese ronin Kawashima Naniwa by her father as a "little toy" and gradually became a pawn of the Japanese invasion of China. She went back to China to instigate the independence of Manchuria and became the commander-in-chief of Manchukuo by clandering with a Japanese officer. After the war, she was accused and executed as a "traitor".......
