Synopsis
Jury Special Mention, International Competition, Taiwan International Documentary Festival
Busan International Film Festival

Took Lee (Blood Amber, The Bad Man) 7 years to make, the film not only depicts the dire situation during a torrential downpour but also shows shocking images of the tragedy of a major fatal collapse of a jade mine in Pakant and the placid yet startling footage of miners working on perilous slopes. It portrays how a family copes with the changing situation and sheds light on what is happening in Myanmar. Amid the pandemic, a torrential rain caused the family and the entire village to be drenched in flooding sewage. Who would have known that an unexpected downpour in foreign land would suddenly resonate so deeply within us.
