Synopsis
Mani returns to her community in Northern Quebec. Her painful past resurfaces. But determined to make a place for herself, she gets involved in the debate surrounding a referendum to allow the free sale of alcohol on the reserve.Laura, a bootlegger, pockets profits, covered by the tribal council. As secrets are revealed and the community grows apart, the two women face each other as they decide which path to independence is best.
