Synopsis
WWII concentration camp survivor Hans is imprisoned according to a provision that criminalises homosexuality. Enduring one repressive system after another, Hans spends the ensuing decades in jail as Germany undergoes many societal changes. Meanwhile, his relationship with reluctant cellmate Viktor blossoms into something wholly unexpected.
