A Sinner in Mecca(EARD)

Can one be a good Muslim and also be gay? That’s the question the Indian-born and US-based director Parvez Sharma asks himself and the audience in a film about his own pilgrimage to Mecca. While very much a document of his inner turmoil as he dives into a world where gay people face imprisonment or even death, the film also provides a portrait of the chaos unfolding in the heart of the Islamic world.
