Story: Living in Motomiya shi in Fukushima, Japan, Shuji Tamura inherited his father’s 100-year old cinema – the Motomiya Theatre – at the age of 21. Sadly the booming TV industry eventually put the small theatre out of business and Tamura was forced to shut it down and look for another living. For half a century, the theatre was left deserted until Tamura retired and gave the theatre’s vintage projector a new lease on life.
