Synopsis
Rafi works as a street photographer in the big city, but his grandmother is desperate to see him get married. To appease her, Rafi sends her a photo of Miloni, one of his customers, and passes her off as his fiancée. What begins as a fake engagement blossoms into a real connection when Rafi’s grandmother asks to meet Miloni. After directing two films in the West, Ritesh Batra (The Lunchbox, The Sense of an Ending) returns to India with this exquisitely crafted love letter to his hometown of Mumbai.
