Synopsis
The middle age kingdom of the Frisian lay mainly in what is now the Netherlands, and Redbad was the last independent ruler before the kingdom got dominated by the Franks. This epic drama centres on the sagas and ancient legends surrounding Redbad and his nemesis, the Franks. When the Frisii lose the battle, Redbad is blamed for the defeat and escapes to join the Vikings. He returns with the Vikings to his homeland, only to see his sister, now wife of the Frankish prince, in misery. Redbad is ready for a fierce battle, even if his troop does not seem strong enough to beat the Franks. Director
