Synopsis
When young Eve's mother falls ill, she is sent to live with her estranged father and his relatives in a luxurious estate. A series of unfortunate events – an overdose, a wall collapse on a job site, a suicide attempt – sends the family spinning. Meanwhile, distracted by infidelities and betrayals, they fail to notice that their new arrival has a sinister secret of her own. Happy End is a sequel of sorts to his previous film Amour, elements of the film also echoes "Benny's Video", "Hidden" and "The White Ribbon". Haneke's works as always, dark, twisted, unapologetic & never let the audience off the hook.
