Synopsis
François, a young carpenter, lives happily with his wife and their children. His life is divided between the carpenter’s shop, picnics in the country, and peaceful evenings at home. He does not want much more until one day, he meets a postal clerk called Emilie. Behind the vivid colors and beautiful compositions, Varda, pieces by pieces, takes apart the cliché of happiness, in the film that she once described as a soft summer fruit with a worm inside.
