Synopsis
The story centers on Cheung Hing Kee, a Chinese dessert shop owned by Cheung Hing and Sau-lin, a couple living in Kowloon City during the 1980s. Their daughter, Cheung Shing-yip (May), has always dreamed of flying and becomes a flight attendant, while her younger brother, Cheung Kai-cheong, is a carefree university student. A classic Chaozhou family.Their lives take a dramatic turn when Sau-lin suffers a debilitating stroke, throwing the family into turmoil. This heartfelt narrative explores the complexities of family bonds, the power of sacrifice, and the resilience that emerges in the face of adversity.
