Synopsis

Taeko and her husband Jiro are living a peaceful existence with her young son Keita, when a tragic accident brings the boy’s long-lost father, Park, back into her life. To cope with the pain and guilt, Taeko throws herself into helping this deaf and homeless man.

Inspired by the famous Japanese singer Akiko Yano’s song LOVE LIFE, Koji Fukada’s follow-up to Harmonium, winner of the Jury Award in the Un Certain Regard section at Cannes 2016, was selected for Official Competition in Venice International Film Festival, along with Toronto International Film Festival and Busan International Festival. LOVE LIFE also won the 14th TAMA Film Award Best Movie.
