Tiny Galaxy Concert @ Haw Par (MOViE MOViE: Life is Art 2023)

Filmed in local hostel Wontonmeen, Hong Kong Sinfonietta launched its “Tiny Galaxy” chamber concert series in 2021 during the COVID pandemic. The first of the “Tiny Galaxy” films, All-Star Tiny Galaxy @ Wontonmeen, debuted at the 2021 edition of the Life is Art Film Festival to great success. Two years on, the second “Tiny Galaxy” film is ready for the world. Moving from Wontonmeen to the magnificent Haw Par Mansion - a Grade I Historic Building built in the 1930’s – the film boasts 14 musical works specifically hand-picked for the space and acoustics, from Bach to the very contemporary. Concertmaster James Cuddeford also as doubles as a tour guide throughout the film, taking audiences around the residence to its most unexpected corners.
