If the Thermae Romae series hasn’t done enough to convince you that Japanese people love taking baths, Yudo will probably do the job. In this high-spirited and often delightfully silly tribute to the healing power of the bath, two estranged brothers clash over their plans for the bathhouse that they inherited. From interacting with the quirky customers who frequent the establishment—including a songstress, an ex-con, an “onsen critic” and a retiring salaryman—the brothers realise that getting a good soak is priceless.
