Shot over four years, Kim Tae-yang’s alluring feature debut began with the desire to record the evolving landscape of Jongno, the historic centre of Seoul. A man and a woman wander around the changing streets and memory lanes in three chapters that evoke different stages of relationships and remembrance. Changes and constants in the urban space reflect the passage of time and moments that makeup life. From the deliberately composed vignettes of leisurely strolls and lingering conversations emerge different perspectives of the city, the characters and the meaning of the film’s title.
