Samet, a young art teacher, is finishing his compulsory service in a remote village in Anatolia. One day, a love letter written to Samet by a student was discovered, leading to an abuse claim. He loses his hopes of escaping the grim life until he meets Nuray, herself also a teacher. Will his encounter with Nuray help him overcome his angst? Ceylan has delivered another of his expansive, ruminative and distinctly Chekhovian character-driven dramas.
