Synopsis

Robert Moses is undoubtedly one of the most influential architects to come from America. A far cry from an “Urban Planner” – a term he reviled for the connotation of lack of action, his method is pure efficiency and velocity, leading to the complete revamping of the entire New York transport system, fostering the modernization of New York City.

While his severe methodology is highly effective, it brought lots of dispute. STRAIGHT LINE CRAZY focuses on two life-turning incidents in Moses’s life: his uprising and his eventual downfall. The film examines how his belief and passion got him to the top, and how the same belief brought him down from the pedestal.

Do the ends justify the means, like what Machiavelli said? Or will democracy triumph and return?
