Synopsis

When the Israeli government announced changes to the citizenship eligibility of foreign workers in 2009, it threatened to remove the status of children under five years old. Desperate to prevent his four-year-old son from being forcibly removed from Israel, Filipino care worker Moises decides to keep his son indoors until his fifth birthday, when he would have a better chance of remaining. The winner of nine awards at the 2013 Cinemalaya Film Festival, including Best Film, the Audience Award and a Special Jury Citation for Best Ensemble, Hannah Espia’s probing drama is an engaging portrait of the Filipino overseas workers community in Tel Aviv.
