Synopsis

Zahara is a refugee from Indonesia living on a remote island in Malaysia. One day, a man who claims to be a turtle researcher comes to the island and hires Zahara to be her guide. But as the day goes on, it becomes apparent that both sides are hiding more than they let on as they engage in a power game. Produced by Edmund Yeo (River of Exploding Durians), Woo Ming Jin’s two-hander is a bewitching feminist revenge tale with a fantasy twist that is best left to be discovered by patient viewers who dare to take the plunge.
