Synopsis

Director Kei Ishikawa reunites with Satoshi Tsumabuki , the star of his directorial debut Traces of Sin, for this adaptation of Keiichiro Hirano’s novel. Tsumabuki stars as Kido, a lawyer asked by a former client (Sakura Ando) to investigate the life of her deceased husband after learning that he lived under a false identity. While retracing the dead man’s previous life, Kido realises that he and his subject share eerie similarities. A riveting slow-burn mystery about the slippery nature of identity, A Man is both a compelling mystery and an intelligent meditation on existence.
