Official Selection – Big Screen Competition at International Film Festival Rotterdam 2021

Shakespeare’s gender-bending romantic comedy As You Like It has been given a modern twist in this all-female adaptation - a comment the patriarchal age when the play was written and women weren’t allowed to perform on stage. Rosalind has to go back to Taiwan from Europe to look for her father, accompanied by her cousin Celia. During the search, Rosalind meets Orlando and they fall in love with each other at first sight. Rosalind, who does not believe in true love, decides to disguise herself as her own twin brother, Roosevelt, to trick Orlando. But, because of his love for Rosalind, Orlando accompanies Roosevelt to look for their missing father…..
