Synopsis
Adapted from the viral Japanese manga hit A CROCODILE WHO WILL DIE IN 100 DAYS, this animated film is brought to the big screen by ONE CUT OF THE DEAD director Shinichiro Ueda. The movie chronicles the daily anecdotes of an unorthodox animal protagonist, Wani, who dresses and talks like a human. Amidst the light-hearted interactions between Wani and his animal companions, there is a catch. Wani is unaware that he only has 100 days to live. The vibrant colours and childlike simplicity of the film raise profound philosophical questions about mortality. If we could foresee our deaths, would we still live the lives that we have now? THE CROCODILE THAT LIVED FOR 100 DAYS is a touching story on introspection and the fragility of life.
