Synopsis
Former Marine Gunnery Sergeant ALI GORSKI returns home to New York with PTSD after her failed attempt to save the American Ambassador and the Ambassador’s eight year old daughter amidst a terrorist firefight in Romania. She takes a job as a doorman at a labyrinthine old apartment building, THE CARRINGTON, where she hopes to get as far away as possible from the violence of war so she can heal. It turns out the man she loved and left when she signed up for the Marines, JON STANTON, lives in the Carrington with his two children, MAX (16), and LILY (10). Max and Lily’s mother, Ali’s sister, died a year ago. Prompted by Lily, Jon persuades Ali to join them for Easter dinner so they all have a chance to bridge the chasm between them. On this same Easter Day Ali’s co-worker BORZ lets a group of mercenaries into the building led by the elegant VICTOR DUBOIS. They are intent upon retrieving priceless art hidden in the walls of the building. Dubois and his mercenaries will destroy everything and everyone that stand in the way of them achieving their goal. Ali realizes she must use the very skills as a warrior she hoped to leave behind in order to ensure she doesn’t repeat the traumas of the past and in order to save the man and children she has grown to love. Dubois, Borz and their mercenaries have no idea what hell their greed has unleashed.
