Synopsis

Woman is a worldwide project designed to give voice to 2000 women in 50 different countries. Despite its very large scale, the film offers an intimate portrait of a community making up half of humanity. While shedding light on the gender-based injustices all over the world, this new film by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Anastasia Mikova also underlines women’s inner strength and their capacity to change the world despite all the difficulties they face: in marriage and motherhood, education and economics, menstruation and sexuality. In this new era where women's voices resonate more and more, the aim of the film is not only to demand equal rights or reveal problems, but to find solutions and try to reconcile the two genders.
