Synopsis

Welling up from spaces of stillness, darkness, or silence, these works lend a strength of voices—through language, music, found footage, or pure observation—to the multiple stories in Southeast Asia. Featuring recent works by Safwan Salleh, Danaya Chulphuthiphong, Chhum Phanith, Hsu Chia-Wei, Kanitha Tith, Pham Ngoc Lan, Kok Siew Wai, Marc Walker, Wiwat Lertwiwatwongsa, Naween Noppakun, and Pimpaka Towira, this programme locates the human dimension in stories taking place in environments that are in a continual state of fading and becoming.
